Canadian Food Focus has received the Healthy Eating and Resource Management Award from the Regina Home Economics for Living Project through the Canadian Home Economics Foundation! The award goes to programs that provide educational information to individuals and groups in the home economics areas of healthy eating and household management.
The award was established after the Regina Home Economics for Living Project program closed. For over 25 years the HELP program assisted families with classes offered through the local food bank on preparing basic foods, buying groceries and budgeting. A fund was then established through the Canadian Home Economics Foundation with the remaining funds. The goal of the award is to support locally identified community-based projects aimed at significantly improving the well-being and health of women, children and families.
We are proud of the role we played in Canadian Food Focus receiving this award from the Canadian Home Economics Foundation.
