In the first 10 months Canadian Food Focus has reached 2.5 million consumers with over 500,000 likes ,shares and comments. We have also seen over 60,000 Canadians visiting our www.canadianfoodfocus.org mostly from urban areas. Our videos have also seen over 70,000 1 minute views!
We have been working with Spread the Mustard to help pitch article ideas to foodservice and food manufacturing magazines in an effort to promote mustard and encourage larger volume users to buy our Canadian mustard. Our efforts recently paid off with mustard mention as an important ingredient in making vinaigrettes in the CAFE: Center for the Advancement of Foodservice Educators magazine that goes to Chef Cooking School instructors and students across the US and Canada.

Proud of the small part we played in getting mustard mentioned in this article in Flavor & The Menu magazine. One of the best parts was Chef Steve Squier from Picaro response to seeing his recipe and quote in the article... "Wicked." We agree!
Canadian Food Focus has received the Healthy Eating and Resource Management Award from the Regina Home Economics for Living Project through the Canadian Home Economics Foundation! The award goes to programs that provide educational information to individuals and groups in the home economics areas of healthy eating and household management.
We are so excited about the response to the Canadian Food Focus project! We launched the website and social media in March 2019 and in the first 6 months we have reached over 1.5 million Canadians mostly in urban areas. We have also had over 40,000 website visits that last on average over 2 minutes. We have also had over 100,000 likes, shares and comments through our social media platforms.
We managed the Spread the Mustard website over the past 2 years. We worked with website developer Norine and MooseWorld and most recently finished a site update and refresh that included updating headers and adding a teal to the overall color palette.
BlueSky Ideas is so thrilled to be working with award-winning communicator and passionate farm advocate, Andrew Campbell to create short videos based on his Dinner Starts Here farm interview series on YouTube.
Each month we create a recipe collection of Spread the Mustard recipes and push it out through social media. It is a cost effective way to that captures the audiences’ attention and drives traffic to our website. For example: This post linked to an article on our website for appetizer recipes reached 3,334 people with 598 engagements including 110 shares!
A social media post that partnered us with the Best of Bridge cookbook franchise netted STM a post reach of 2,925 with 134 people engaging with the post including 9 shares. Win Win!
Organizing Spread the Mistard’s participation in the IFEC Chef Showcase. We were partnered with award-winning Chef Jonathon Hunter who prepared a Chinese-style Sausage with Mustard in a Mustard Cream Sauce topped with Mustard Breadcrumbs and Pickled Mustard Seeds.
We love the bright inviting nature of the display and postcards we just helped develop for Canadian Food Focus! The resources have been a flexible tool that works for many different events we attend.
As you all know we are so excited to be managing the Canadian Food Focus program. It really feels like a project we have been training for our whole lives and brings together our passion for celebrating farming and the food grown and raised in Canada! We have been managing the Sask Pork social media strategy for 4 years. We were excited to mix things up and work on this new set of logos for that promotion. Love this refreshed Pick Pork brand we developed for them. We have applied it to their consumer social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram and looking forward to applying it to a new set of graphics for these social media platforms.
This is a banner display and handouts we we developed for Canadian Food Focus. Love the bright cheery colors and working hands we weaved into this promotion! We also used these visuals in Facebook advertising and for the launch of this new brand. #everythinggrows
We are so excited about this new project - Canadian Food Focus. Our team has been part of the initial branding and then conceptualized the website and social media rollout. We now mangae the website and social media platforms. We launched the website on March 20th - the first day of Spring.
